The left sidebar shows main topic categories, Teach, Job, Life, under which you will find article pages and subcategories. Um, er, plunge ahead and write a few pages, and others will happily help categorize them.

To create a new category, type [[Category:Some New Category Name]] at bottom of a page that you want so categorized. This is a wiki, be bold and make it better. Others will help.

• Special:Categories lists all our categories.

Add to category

To add a page to a category, add the category's tag to the bottom of the page that you want so categorized. Any number of category tags may be added to a page. You may make up your own category names, too. Example:

[[Category:Teach]]
[[Category:Speak]]
[[Category:Grammar]]

(put at bottom of a page about teaching grammar and speaking, this would list that page in those three categories and provide a link to those categories on that page's bottom)

Steps:

1. Go to the page that you want to add to the category
2. Click the page's Edit tab
3. Type the category's tag at the bottom of the page, like this: [[Category:Some Category Name]]
4. Click Save

A link to the categories will appear at the page's bottom and the page will be listed in those categories. Put as many category tags at page bottom as are appropriate for the page; the page will appear in all of those. Make up new category names as you like.

Link only

To put only an inline link to a category in the body of a page's text, lead with a colon, e.g. [[:Category:Example]]. It creates an inline category link instead of listing the page in the category.
