To qualify for a visa to teach in China, you need to meet China's State Administration for Foreign Expert Affairs (SAFEA) requirements.

To Meet SAFEA's requirements teachers should have:

• Bachelor Degree (or higher)
  
• 2 years relevant experience
  
• ESL Qualifications (preferred)

Teachers should be native English speakers and have a passport from Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa United Kingdom, or USA.

The qualifications required by institutions can differ between provinces and type of institution (School, University, Training Centre).
